So it happened- my baby started pre-kindergarten this fall. I really do not know how it happened but of all of a sudden she is a big girl, going on a school bus, doing homework and wanting to learn at every step of the way.
She loves color by number and counting activities and I love to indulge her with these sheets. She can sit for hours after school and do “homework”- she loves it! Hopefully this mindset will continue with her throughout her years.
With the holidays fast approaching, I want to invite some of her new friends over for afternoon playdates and if they are anything like my daughter they will love these Feed the Whale sheets I created for my daughter to work on her counting.
Feed the Whale Activity
- Give each child a printable whale with a number in its tail.
- Each child will receive a small bowl of goldfish crackers as the counters.
- Let them count.
Plus it makes for a great snack for them as well! How adorable is this?
I have a blank whale here that you can print out and write in a number for you to use at home or at your next holiday party. This keeps them entertained for hours.
The NEW holiday goldfish crackers inspired my Feed the Whale activity with their cute shapes and holiday colors. Your nearest Target exclusively carries Goldfish Holiday Shapes – Cheddar and Goldfish Mix – Chocolate Candy Cane and Pretzel.
Target also carries Goldfish Colors – Red and Green and Goldfish Grahams – S’mores variety as well. Not only will these Goldfish Crackers feed your children at snack time but think about all the wonderful games you can play: sorting, counting and so much more!
These fun new shapes and different colored goldfish crackers are perfect any day but make your parties and play dates even better this winter. Give my Feed the Whale activity a try too – I bet your children will love it!
