Red Velvet Crumb Cake Bisquick
This moist red red velvet cake has the delicious crumbs baked right in. Perfect for breakfast or a dessert and it could not be easier to make. We used the new Bisquick Cinnamon mix in this cake and the crumbs are baked right inside.
We love red velvet cakes and decided to combine our love of crumb cake with the moist chocolatey flavor of a red velvet cake. Sheer perfection.
Ingredients Needed for Red Velvet Crumb Cake
- Red Velvet Cake Mix
- Eggs
- Water
- Oil
- Bisquick Cinnamon Mix
- Butter
Simple and easy and top with powdered sugar for a finishing touch. We absolutely loved how this cake out! Perfect for breakfast or even better as a brunch option.
Can you freeze this red velvet crumb cake?
Yes you can freeze this red velvet crumb cake. Simply wrap in foil and place in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature.
How to Make a Red Velvet Crumb Cake from a Cake Mix
Ingredients
for red velvet cake-
1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix
3 eggs
1-1/4 cup water
1/2 vegetable oil
for crumb cake-
1-1/2 cups Bisquick Cinnamon Mix
1 stick butter, room temperature
Directions
Preheat oven to 350, spray a 13×9 inch bake pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
In a large bowl mix together all of the ingredients for the red velvet cake until smooth.
Pour into prepared pan and set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine the Bisquick and butter with a pastry cutter or use your hands.
Once full combine, break off pieces and dot the top of the red velvet cake.
As the cake bakes the crumb cake will combine.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool.
