We were so excited to see that the opening of OVO from Cirque du Soleil would be in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. Being invited to the opening performance was such a privilege and we were so excited to be invited. This was our first trip down to the Barclays Center and we were not disappointed.
I am a huge fan of all the Cirque du Soleil shows. The artists that perform are magical to watch and the costumes and the set design always leaves us in awe and wanting more. This new show Ovo was such a beautiful show featuring an ecosystem where insects can crawl, eat, work and take flight. The mysterious egg shows up in their habitat and it is love at first sight for the insects and a beautiful and artistic show begins.
Ovo consists of 50 performers from 12 different countries that specialize in acrobatics. We were amazed at the high flying act of a pair of scarabs as well as all of the intense and unbelievable performances. We had a great time once again at a beautiful Cirque du Soleil performance.
Another act that I really enjoyed was the high flying trapeze artists. They were amazing! The acrobats were swinging the other performers using just their bodies. It was amazing how they flew and flipped through the air. This show Ovo is a must-see.
OVO will be at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn from Wednesday, July 5 through Sunday, July 9, and to NYCB Live in Uniondale, Long Island, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum Presented By New York Community Bank, from August 30 to September 3. Get your tickets today and be prepared to be amazed.
