Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

The key to making this creamy ice cream is by making a simple strawberry syrup first. This recipe does not include eggs, so no need to make a custard first!

Strawberry Ice Cream

Ingredients

1 cup strawberries, hulled and diced

¾ cup sugar

1 TBSP lemon juice

2 cups heavy whipping cream

Dash of salt

1 TBSP vanilla extract

 

Directions

Make the strawberry syrup –

Place the strawberries, sugar and lemon juice in a small saucepan.

Heat over medium heat until the strawberries break down and a syrup forms. (about 15 minutes)

Set aside and let cool completely.

In a bowl of an electric mixer, whip the cream until light and fluffy.

Fold in the strawberry syrup and place in the loaf pan.

Freeze for at least 2 hours until serving.
