Under the Sea Mermaid Popcorn Snack Mix
I love that this recipe is so easy to make and the kids absolutely love it! It is a combination of sweet, savory and gummy – my children’s three favorite food groups. This Under the Sea Mermaid Popcorn Snack Mix would make a great snack to bring to Girl Scouts or a playdate too.
Under the Sea Mermaid Popcorn Snack Mix
Ingredients:
1 batch of popcorn – popped
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Food coloring (blue and green) – optional
1/4 cup Blue chocolate shavings
1 Bag Swedish Fish
3 Packs Kids Gummies (the type found in a box in the cereal isles)
1 Pack Sour Octopuses
Directions:
Combine the butter, sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla over medium heat until it is all dissolved and starts to boil.
Add food coloring if desired.
Remove from burner and pour over popcorn.
Let cool.
Add in the candy ingredients. Mix well and enjoy!
