Have apples? Then you need to make this old fashion apple cake! It is moist and rich and you probably have all of the ingredients you need in your pantry.

The kids will love this moist and delicious apple bread too and it is filled with fruit, so you can feel good giving them a slice.

Old Fashioned Apple Cake

Ingredients 

4 cups flour

1 TBSP baking soda

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp salt

5 large eggs

3/4 cups oil

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

¾ applesauce

½ cup honey

2 TBSP vanilla extract

1 cup shredded peeled apples

Yield- 1 large 12×16 sheet cake

Directions

Preheat oven to 350.

Spray pan with non-stick spray, set aside.

In a large bowl combine all the ingredients, folding in the apples last.

Once combined pour into prepared pan. (about 2/3 full)

Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool in pans for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

This is such an easy recipe to make and we love to have it for breakfast dusted with powdered sugar.
