Elvis Presley Cake Recipe
Elvis Presley cake is so easy to make and this cake is delicious and easy to make – perfect for any occasion. This cake is very versatile as you can use any type of box cake mix (yellow, white, spice, pineapple). We love all of the se combined flavors just like Elvis did!
There is something about the combination of pineapple and coconut that makes me swoon! This Chocolate Sawdust Pie has similar ingredients and all the deliciousness in pie form!
Elvis Presley Cake Recipe
Ingredients for Elvis Presley Cake
Cake –
1 box white cake mix + additional ingredients per directions
1 cup crushed pineapple with juice
1 cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
Frosting –
8 oz cream cheese, soft
½ cup butter, soft
3 cups powdered sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
3 cups pecans, crushed
Directions for Elvis Presley Cake
Bake cake per recipe and cool completely then poke holes over the entire cake
In a saucepan bring the pineapple with juice, ½ teaspoon vanilla, and the sugar to a boil
Simmer for 3-5 minutes until sugar has melted
Remove from heat and cool slightly then pour the mixture evenly over the cake
Use a mixer to combine the cream cheese, vanilla, and butter until creamy and fluffy then add in powdered sugar one cup at a time until well combined
Fold in 2 cups of the crushed pecans
Spread the frosting over the pineapple then top with remaining crushed pecans
Place in refrigerator overnight
Slice, serve, and rock n roll!
